-Dr. Mustafa Kamal
Two little rabbits, they are, sleek and grey,
Running around they do, although they look fray.
My garden is their favorite place, they rest and play,
Hide in the grass, big ears sticking out, they lay.
In the lawn they sit ears up and ready to run,
Their relation I know not, but two are lot of fun.
Partitions we have, wooden, me and my neighbor,
With flexible body they travel from one side to other.
What do they eat; picky are they, if you wonder?
Bite the roses off; eat only the leaves, I stop to ponder.
Indian Hawthorn, flowers I am yet to see,
Ate that leafless to the ground, I complain to the bee.
They need variety of food, I clearly understand,
Just eating grass can be boring, so much in the land.
Tried to argue with them and suggest new pasture,
But too timid are they, not yet so mature.
